In a day where political rhetoric runs fierce and loud, there is one man brave enough to stand up and say something about it; Reverend Franklin Graham.
One of the things that most Christians fail to remember is that though God loves America. He is more concerned with the hearts of people than anything. And at the end of the age, He is coming back for his Church —- a pure and spotless Bride — not for a particular country.
Rev. Graham compares the current state of the Union to that of ancient Babylon, whose days were numbered because of their dishonor of God, and is calling for change in the fabric of America.
It’s not that we aren’t concerned about what happens inside of our borders —- we should most definitely play a part in protecting and increasing the freedoms that America has enjoyed since our founding as a nation. But that’s not what this is all about, entirely. It’s about our true home: Heaven.
As Christians, our home is not about geographic borders, but about the Kingdom of God coming to earth. Jesus taught us to pray, “Your Kingdom Come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.”
This is not just about America. This is about God’s Kingdom coming to earth and America can play a part in it if we choose to. Revelation has already prophesied it that in the end, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” (Revelation 11:15)
