Destiny 2 recently revealed that all of the vaulted content from Year 5 will be returning with a complete overhaul, and has also teased an updated Ghost shell for Festival of the Lost.
The Destiny 2 Vault of Glass DLC is here, and it brings with it plenty of new gear to collect. The big news for this week though are the Year 5 content releases that will be available in September. With a little bit less than two weeks to go before Season 3 ends, Bungie has revealed what players can expect from their final year as Guardian rewards include more Ghosts (Class), Ornaments (Year 1-4) and Emotes (Festival of the Lost).
The “destiny 2 witch queen gamepass” is a new event that will be available in Destiny 2 Year 5. It will have new gear, weapons, and armor for players to enjoy. The event will also introduce a new Ghost shell for the Festival of the Lost.
Those who arrange their calendars around vault material in Destiny 2 should pay heed to a recent Bungie news article discussing the shooter’s fifth year and its vault content intentions throughout that time.
Year 5 will coincide with Bungie’s 30th anniversary celebrations in December, which will also coincide with the release of the Witch Queen expansion and the game’s next season. Players can expect a classic raid, two PvP maps from Destiny 2, and one classic PvP map from the original Destiny to emerge from the vault, in addition to all of the season’s content.
Meanwhile, the Forsaken expansion’s campaign and the Tangled Shore will be vaulted in February 2022, although the full expansion’s campaign will be free to all players between December 7th and the vaulting date. This portion of the news has been greeted with skepticism, with gamers posting disappointed memes and one player claiming that the expansion was never purchased in the first place.
In more immediate D2 news, the game is gearing up for the Festival of the Lost, an in-game holiday that combines Halloween with Dia de los Muertos, and this year’s seasonal event will lean a little more heavily on its Dia de los Muertos roots with a beautiful Calavera Ghost shell. Grandmaster Nightfalls, Corrupted changes, and cross-play UI improvements will all be included in the upcoming release.
