However, when you try to play it on your original Xbox console without Gold membership, you get “Goldflake error.” This is especially problematic because some people have not been able to buy the game at all due to this issue.

Warzone Pacific, like most other games, contains a number of bugs. But nothing that developers couldn’t handle and fix in a timely manner.
However, as reported by several gamers on different forums and social media sites, Xbox users are now experiencing a new set of issues.
For Xbox gamers who do not have Xbox Gold, Warzone is a failure.
Everything was going swimmingly for this new Call of Duty multiplayer map until the developers released a fresh update that made a little change to the game’s database.
According to internet sources, the Goldflake Network Service Error, as it’s known, is triggered by a recent upgrade that made an Xbox Live Gold membership a must for playing Warzone.
If you’re receiving a “A network service failed” message while attempting to play #Warzone on Xbox, it looks that the update overnight has made Xbox Live Gold a necessity to play Warzone again, despite the fact that free-to-play titles no longer need it.

This might be a major issue if gamers believe they have been pressured into buying additional Microsoft services.
More so, given that, despite players’ frequent complaints about this new problem, devs have failed to fully address it.
Is it possible for me to resolve this issue on my own?
Unfortunately, there isn’t much you can do about this inconvenient problem other than attempt one of the remedies that other afflicted people have published online.
Keep in mind that they haven’t been confirmed to work 100% of the time, and the issue may still exist after you’ve finished.
The first option, according to other Warzone gamers, is to just restart their console or PC and try to load Warzone Pacific again. While this may not seem to be the greatest solution, it has worked for some people.
Players will need to do a hard reset of their console or PC to get rid of the error notice.
You may do this by disconnecting the system and plugging it back in, or by pressing and holding the power button to turn it off.
Return to Warzone Pacific after re-booting the system to check whether the Goldflake problem has been resolved.
